Ashburn Wedding

Just as soon as all of our families left from Hannah's wedding celebrations, we were pretty much packing our family and car to head down to Raleigh, NC for Clair and Seth's wedding!  Clair and Seth were married the very next weekend, on March 16, 2013.  Just as the weather was perfect for Hannah's, the same went for Clair's on Saturday! It was 71 degrees and pure sunshine which made for an amazing day for wedding bells!

Clair had such a fun bridal party and we really spent a lot of time together over the past 9 months through Clair's engagement party, bridal shower, bachelorette party, and more!  We became a group of fun friends and I just loved spending more time with them this past weekend on Clair and Seth's big day!

The bridal luncheon was on Friday morning at Lauren's (friend of the bride; bridesmaid) beautiful home and the food was just beyond divine.  There was so much of it and I'm pretty sure we all left completely stuffed.

The rehearsal dinner was at Bloomsbury Bistro Friday evening (can you say, yum) and was absolutely beautiful.  We had cocktail hour at 5 and dinner around 6:30.  I'm pretty sure we can all say (and admit) that our dresses were a little bit tight on the day of the wedding due to all the good eating we did!  After the rehearsal dinner was an "after-party" at one of Seth and Clair's friends house.  It was so fun!  We drank, ate a little more, and danced to the live-band that was there playing!

Saturday morning, we woke up to a sprinkling rain that was completely gone by 10am and the sky was blue with amazingly warm weather!  We met at the church around 12 and the ceremony was at 2.  It was so sweet and I definitely cried while standing up at the front of the church watching my best friend marry the love of her life.  It was perfect.

Around 3:30 the bridal party arrived at the reception (downtown) and partied hard until Clair and Seth made their exit at 7!  We all danced like there was no tomorrow and celebrated the love between these two people!

Needless to say, I am back at work, haven't been to the grocery store in probably close to 2 weeks, will get home around 7 tonight, and pulled chili out of the freezer that I made and stored last month (thank goodness for doubling recipes and freezing for times like this).  Have 4 beds of sheets to wash, a pile of laundry to do, a house to clean, and - oh, and by the way, did I mention John and I will probably sit down on the couch for the first time after work tonight (in a couple of weeks) and probably never get up again?

EXHAUSTED from three CRAZY but fun fun fun weeks. What a blessing it is to be so tired from so much happiness and celebrating in our lives right now.  We surely can't complain.

Congratulation Mr. and Mrs. Seth Ashburn!  We love you!

Thanks for walking with us,
JL
