Our beloved Scout

Scout
March 2002 - November 2014

There truly will never be another dog like Scout.  Scout lived to please.  She lived to love.  She lived to be a loyal companion.  All she ever wanted to do was obey and make you proud.  She was the most precious dog there ever was.  Scout was a special dog.  She loved every minute of her life - and had the best life a dog could dream of.  She spent her summers and holidays running down the beach and ripping through the waves of the ocean.  She spent every weekend running after the polaris through acres and acres of land at the farm.  She had it made.  At 12.5 years old, she suffered a major stroke at my parent's house on Wednesday night November 12th.  On Thursday, my parents decided it was time to put her down - so my dad took her in to the vet.  It was the hardest decision for our family to make, but it was time.  She had a life full of fun and ran hard until the very end.  We love you so much Scout - miss you already, like crazy.

First Halloween

Happy first Halloween from our little cupcake! We felt that not only was this costume super cute, but totally appropriate as I did "bake her" for a whole 9 months - and she did come out perfect, if I do say so myself.  Madeline is growing by the day is already 8 weeks old - it makes me sad to see how fast it's going but every day is truly better than the day before.  Hope everyone had a great Halloween! XO

Madeline Grace Peters _ Birth - Day

Our baby girl is now 6.5 weeks old which blows my mind.  It goes by so fast! I have already packed away her newborn clothes and filled her drawers with 0-3 / 3M clothes.  I will admit that I did cry while doing so.

We welcomed her into this world on September 2nd, 2014 (she came on her own right on her scheduled due date - is she her mommy's baby or what?) at 2:50 pm weighing 7 lbs 11 oz and 20.5 inches long.  A very smooth and fairly quick delivery, with a perfectly healthy baby + mommy.  We are blessed.  The minute she came out and they put her on my chest, I felt a love I've never felt before - it was truly the single best moment of my life.  To see a child that is half of you and half of the love of your life, is the most amazing feeling in the world.  I just cried and cried while I stared at her.  (I still can't stop staring at her!)

Here are a few pictures from her birth (excuse the lovely swollen and exhausted mama - I hadn't slept in 36-48 hours by the time I gave birth!)

What a special day.  I tear up just reminiscing and looking at the pictures, all over again! To Him be the Glory - and I mean, ALL of it! :)
